IMPAX-SK units work by first learning a process's correct application of force. They observe the process for several cycles, and then calculate an optimal force curve envelope, using advanced signal analysis algorithms. If the force curves leave the envelope, the monitor knows something is wrong, and it will stop the machine.

You can customize both the sensitivity, to change how wide the envelopes are, and the tolerance, which determines how many times the signal can stray outside the envelope before an error is reported.
